Synopsis: Renee isn't having the best day. In fact, she's probably having the worst f&#@ing day ever.

About: YOU is a short film created in the fall of 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, but was never meant to be related to the pandemic. Jess and her Director of Photography, Sarah Winters, along with Hadestown actress Kim Steele shot this short over a Saturday in an apartment.

This film is a "love letter" of sorts. An ode to mental health and what we go through when dealing with anxiety/depression. Additionally, it is a love letter to black women, at our most human, at our most vulnerable - despite what stereotypes the world might put on us.
